This dynamic music theatre camp introduces students to both the technical and creative aspects of Musical Theatre form while ensuring they further gain and develop life skills like self-confidence, co-operation, leadership, independence, self-awareness and self-expression.
The teacher/student ratio is excellent (enrolment limited to 20 participants/session) which allows students the opportunity to grow in an environment with more individualized instruction.
MYT Head Instructors are university or college trained educators with vast professional experience in the arts. Each instructor has a great deal of experience working with children and is able to create an excellent environment in which to experience drama, music and dance.
The highlight of our summer camps is the participation of professional GUEST ARTISTS. These artists often lead a workshop in one area of either music, drama, dance or design.
Previous guests artists have included performers from productions such as MAMMA MIA, ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, LES MISERABLES, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, SHOWBOAT, RAGTIME, WEST SIDE STORY AND JOSEPH, along with artists in film, television/commercials, including voice over professionals and members of SECOND CITY.
There will be a showcase for parents on the Thursday evening of the second week each session to highlight some of the activities.
